Friday July 24 2009 - A message from Françoise
Dear friends,
On May 23, 2009 I presided over my first General Assembly in the presence of over 100 delegates, as well as our leader Jack Layton and our Québec lieutenant Thomas Mulcair. Over 36 resolutions were studied and many were adopted and prioritized for the Halifax Convention, to be held from August 14 to August 16 2009.
The working languages, culture, employment insurance and consumer protection were some of the main preoccupation of the Québec NDP members. The NDP is the only federalist party which has Québec’s interests close to its heart.
Those who wish to join our volunteer teams or make a donation to contribute to the next campaign are welcome and may communicate with us at 819- 243-7293 or by e-mail at info@francoiseboivin.com.
See you soon!
Françoise

Wednesday October 15 2008 - What a campaign! Françoise earned the second position with 26% of the vote, only 3% behind the Bloc. She tripled the score the NDP had in 2006, showing that the people of Gatineau heard her message. Françoise is very happy to see this strong base and thanks you for having supported her.

Friday October 10 2008 - "It's time to move past the Bloc and choose change for Quebec," said New Democrat Leader Jack Layton today.
Layton brought his campaign to become Prime Minister to the riding of Gatineau, where New Democrat candidate Francoise Boivin has a strong shot at victory.
"There's a new choice for Quebec in this election - a choice of hope and optimism. It's time for change in Quebec" said Layton, "New Democrat change."
Layton appealed to voters who supported the Bloc Quebecois in the past, pointing out that many problems - like the environment - require strong action by progressives across provincial boundaries.
The New Democrat leader said it was time for "a Prime Minister who always respects the uniqueness of Quebec...and who respects" the province's arts and culture.
Layton slammed Stephen Harper for turning his back on Quebec, doing nothing on health care, and failing to act on climate change.
"All Harper cares about is big profits for big banks, big oil and the wealthiest corporations. That's why he gave them billions in unconditional tax breaks, while he turned his back on you."
Friday October 10 2008 - Jack Layton believes the NPD will make a breakthrough in the Outaouais next Tuesday, with its strong candidates Françoise Boivin in Gatineau, Pierre Ducasse in Hull-Aylmer and Céline Brault in Pontiac. Click here to read the interview he had with Info07!
Thursday October 9 2008 - A Message from Jack Layton
Hello Friends,
I will be coming to Gatineau tomorrow, Friday, October 10th for a rally at the Association Récréative de Gatineau, 195 Maloney West starting at 8 PM. This is a crucial election for all Canadians. Too long we've had governments who ignore the needs of working Canadians, and this cannot be allowed to continue.
I will be a Prime Minister who will fight for what's right for you and your family.
Hope to see you on Friday!
Jack Layton
